  • Here comes the Sun

    Mon 22 Jul 2019

It’s been a very busy term and so much has been happening at Wybourn as we all get ready for the summer break.

We’ve had the summer fayre with bouncy castles, balloons and ice cream. Nursery had a wonderful visit to Cannon hall farm and we welcomed all of our lovely families to come and share assembly with their children, as they come to the end of their current academic year.

There is so much change at this time of year and we are very proud of all our current, leaving and new children and how they have all handled their transition days. There has been so much fun, smiling faces and enjoyment.

This week on Tuesday we will be holding our annual school water fight and would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a lovely summer. Stay safe in the sun, have lots of fun and we look forward to welcoming you all back in September.

  • HOT WEATHER

    Mon 22 Jul 2019

Tuesday 23rd July is our last day for children and it is forecast to be extremely hot. Please send your child to school with a sun hat and wearing sun cream.

We will be having a school water fight around 11:30am, please send your child to school with a full change of clothes including underwear and shoes. Children are also invited to bring in a toy to play with but we ask that no valuables are brought in.

    Thank you.

  • Big Toddle

    Mon 15 Jul 2019

    Last week at Wybourn:

Y2 children went to Pizza Express and got to make their own pizza from scratch and take it home to show, eat and share their creations.

Y5 had a brilliant day down at Rother valley. They got to play games, ride bikes and after all that fresh air and exercise had a well-deserved picnic lunch.

Meanwhile over at Nursery, all the children took part in Barnado’s charity raising event ‘Big toddle’. All their little feet walked around the park and back and received a medal for their amazing efforts. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the children who have (so far) raised an amazing £788.50!!

  • Forest School

    Wed 10 Jul 2019

This week we continued with our Urban and Rural school swap. Our Y5 children headed across for a fun filled day at Oughtibridge. The children that visited Wybourn had an amazing adventure as they took part in our wonderful forest school. They all learned to work as a team and build dens, create a camp fire, explore the colours and nature around us and finished off by toasting marshmallows.

  • Good luck to our Y6's

    Mon 08 Jul 2019

This week was filled with happy memories but sad goodbyes as our Y6 children had their last week at Wybourn. The children were all given a class book to have signed and they created and made their own t-shirts to keep as a memory of their time at Wybourn primary school. The last day was full of fun and happy tears and on Thursday night the children enjoyed their Prom. They danced the night away, had a buffet and picked their prom king and queen. We are so proud of them all and wish them all the best in their next education adventure to secondary school.
