Welcome to Y4

So much goes on in Y4!

In History we learn about all the ancients- Egypt and the Saxons and Vikings- we even have a Viking Day! We go on a fantastic trip to Mam Tor using all the OS map skills we learn in Geography. As well as great day trips, we also go on an amazing residential to Thornbridge where we camp for two nights. We take part in many challenges there such as the low ropes and biking in the countryside.

Multiplication Tables Check

In June all children take part in the MTC. Children answer 25 times tables questions on the internet. They have 6 seconds to answer each question. 

How you can help at home

Reading at home should be completed at least times a week with an adult. After reading the adult can ask questions to check their understanding.

Times tables are super important- especially this year with the check in the summer. Please help your child practise these at home to help them get instant recall of the answers.

We set a homework menu each term and children can earn Dojos for any tasks they complete.
