We are looking carefully at how we can provide wraparound care (before and after school) for the children of working parents, while working within the Government Guidelines about social distancing and so on, and striving to keep your children as safe as they can be within the current global situation.
In order to maintain distinct social bubbles (which we call ‘pods’), The After School Club (Wow Club) will be its own pod, with a set number of children in that pod throughout the week. As a result, some evenings the number of children staying in Wow may be rather low, but we are unwilling to increase the risk of transfer by opening the pod to additional children.
The number of spaces available for children throughout the week is therefore limited to 16 altogether.
We are aware that this is a small number, and apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this might cause. We are offering these spaces, with priority for key worker parents who don’t have alternative childcare options, on a first-come, first-served basis. The pricing structure will remain the same, with 2 hour sessions being available for £6. (1 hour slots will not be available.)
If a child or adult within the Wow Club pod tests positive for coronavirus, the staff and children who have attended on the same days that week would be required to self isolate for 14 days (according to current guidelines). Children who are booked on alternative days will be fine to continue attending.
Please ring Jodie on the school reception (272 1988) to book a place.
In addition, please forward evidence of your key worker role by showing a document to a member of admin staff or SLT when you collect your child, or email enquiries@wybourncommunity.sheffield.sch.uk.
Thanks
Ms Thornley Headteacher
