• TikTok is giving parents new options to control how their kids use the app.
• More specifically, thanks to "Family Safety Mode", parents and guardians are getting access to Digital Wellbeing toggles that allow them to manage how much time their children spend in the app. 
• They can also limit who sends messages to them and turn off direct messaging completely.
• Finally, they can restrict the appearance of content that may not be appropriate for kids.

Please make note that Friday 25/10/2019 the School is closed to children as it is a Staff training day. We hope that you all have a lovely half term holiday and we return and open again Monday 4th November 2019.

This week, Year 4 are taking over the hall for a day to have a Greek day on Thursday and all of the children who attended 100% last year are being treated to a well deserved visit to the bowling alley.

 

Y4 had a timetable competition this week. Y1 parent’s were invited to attend reading workshops, Y5/6 took part in our ongoing British cycling project and Y5/6 also had a special assembly to recap on the amazing time that they had on their Whitby residential.

This week Y1 went out on a visit to our local Manor Castle site, Wybourn athletics team went to Park Academy to take part in this years competition against other schools in Sheffield, Spanish and Star’books’ reading club are thriving and going well.

We are all really proud of the children in Y6 who are running the new reading club and acting as employees with lanyards, leadership responsibilties and they are really doing a brilliant job of mentoring and encouraging the younger children
